New Delhi: With the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) celebrating AR Rahman`s 25th anniversary in filmdom, the delighted double Oscar-winning composer said that this "feels good."
The philanthropist has clocked 25 years in the film industry since his debut in Tamil film `Roja` in 1992.While talking to ANI, the 50-year-old composer said, "I`m feeling great. I`m performing in London and then going to IIFA and we have been working on it from past four months.. New York is a great place and I hope people will enjoy this."
Stating that he has many memories with IIFA in South Africa, Singapore, Rahman said, "Some of the places I couldn`t go because I was stuck in other projects, I was contractually in Hollywood, when I got one of the awards. But, IIFA is such great, wherever they go, they spread their glory."
Expressing his love for IIFA, the elated `Vande Mataram` producer said that he has beautiful memories with IIFA and he "loves the joy, when members of fraternity come together and meet."
The show is set to feature a never-seen-before medley of musicians that includes Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Haricharan Seshadri. The Awards 2017, to be held at New York`s iconic MetLife Stadium on July 15, will witness power-packed performances by Bollywood superstars - Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, to name a few.He is also set to begin his "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" tour which too marks 25 years of his journey in the music industry. It starts on July 8 at Wembley in London.
The music maestro`s journey from the hit song ‘Roja’ to ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ will be celebrated at the tour.
