New Delhi: Subedar Joginder Singh, a biopic based on the life of and times of the Indian soldier of the same name will present the story of his valour and bravery. Popular Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal plays the titular role of Subedar Joginder Singh in the film.
The makers have released the new song 'Hathyar' from the film and it brings out the emotional and heart touching journey of a soldier. The song has many moments wherein your heart will swell with pride. It shows how a soldier who has set himself up for a journey where his return is completely uncertain yet, the determination in his mind and the respect towards his duty makes him unabatedly walk towards his goal of fighting for the nation.
The song starts with the verse with Guru Gobind Ji’s Bani in the Dasam Granth “Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ihai Shubh Karman Te Kabhu Na Taron; Na Daron Arr Siyo Jab Jai Laron Nishchay Kar Apni Jeet Karon”, meaning O Lord, grant me this boon, May I never refrain from righteous acts; that I might fight without fear of all foes and with firm resolve claim victory.

Subedar Joginder Singh is produced by Seven Colors Motion Picture in association with Saga Music and Unisys Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd.
The film is a tale of his passion and dedication towards serving the nation. The Subedar fought the Chinese during the Indo-China war of 1962. But, the film, inspired by the life of Subedar is all set to bring this man, who is synonymous with the courage and is an epitome of self-sacrifice and extraordinary bravery, back to life. The makers have delved into the history to bring out the events and incidents of his life, most authentically.
The movie has been shot in extreme weather conditions of Suratgarh, where the mercury soared to a melting level, and it has been filmed in the bone-chilling climate of Drass, Kargil where the temperature drops below freezing point!
This much-anticipated biopic of the Param Vir Chakra recipient ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ is all set to release on April 6, 2018.
'Subedar Joginder Singh' is directed by Simerjit Singh and stars Aditi Sharma opposite Gippy in the lead roles. The film is produced by House Saga Music and written by Rashid Rangrez. Besides Gippy and Aditi, the project has an ensemble star cast with Guggu Gill, Kulwinder Billa, Karamjit Anmol, Rajvir Jawanda, Harish Verma and Sardar Sohi playing pivotal parts.
