Nevada: A fighter jet crashed on Tuesday about five miles from the Naval Air Station at Fallon, Nevada, a US Navy spokesman said.
The spokesman did not have information on the pilot of the F/A-18-C Hornet following the crash at about 10:45 am local time. The Reno Gazette-Journal newspaper reported that the pilot was taken to a nearby hospital after ejecting.
A spokeswoman for the hospital declined to provide information on the pilot`s condition.
Naval Air Station Fallon is about 55 miles northeast of Carson City in western Nevada.
A Marine pilot was killed last week when an F/A-18 crashed during a training mission near Twentynine Palms, California.
