Tirumala: In a bid to end the hassles for devotees of Lord Venkateswara, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is coming up with a new waiting complex.

The facility can only be availed by the Rs 300 special darshan ticket holders.

The steel structure, whose construction has already begun, is being built at the open space available in between the massive Vaikuntam queue complexes that earlier served as car parking, reports The Hindu.

About 1,500 pilgrims can be accommodated in the complex, which is being constructed in an area of about 17,000 sq feet at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore.

In addition to rest rooms, the new waiting hall consists of 18 scanning counters and a luggage deposit centre.

According to statistics, around 26,000 devotees avail the Rs 300 darshan tickets on an average every day and are permitted for the darshan from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.

The TTD has already built two massive complexes to meet the requirements of pilgrims.
