Hyderabad: In yet another of shocking incident of cruelty towards animals, three puppies were burnt alive by young boys here.
The boys even shot the video of the puppies being burnt.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against unknown persons in Musheerabad police station by 'People for Animal' group, as per ANI.
This development comes weeks after video of two final year MBBS students, throwing a dog from the terrace of a three-storey building and filming the incident, had gone viral on social media.
The duo, Gowtham Sudarshan and Ashish Paul, were arrested by Chennai Police and produced before the Sriperumbudur Judicial Magistrate court.
They were charged under Section 428 and 429 of the IPC, besides the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and later were granted bail.
Last month too, 50 stray dogs burnt alive at a Keezhamur village, some 50-kms from Chennai, had been reported.
The stray dogs were sedated with food laced with pesticides and then the villagers had decided to kill them in order to save their herds of sheep and goat from being attacked.
An animal activist, P Aswath had uncovered the tragedy four days later.
Aswath then registered a case with the Melmaruvathur Police after which four villagers - Murali, Muthu, Murugadoss and Jeeva – were booked in connection with the case.
