Kudligi DSP Anupama Shenoy refuses to withdraw resignation, threatens to release CD 'not meant for children'

Bengaluru: Anupama Shenoy, who has grabbed headlines for her relentless fight against the Congress government's alleged patronage to the state's liquor mafia, is set to meet the Superintendent of Police of Ballari on Thursday.

However, the braveheart woman police officer has categorically refused to take back her resignation letter.

Shenoy had recently resigned as Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kudligi Sub-division in Ballari district, in protest against the Karnataka Labour Minister Parameshwar Naik's alleged interference in her official work.

Shenoy, who resigned as DSP on June 04, later moved to an undisclosed location.

Shenoy has since waged a war against Labour Minister Parameshwar Naik.

In a Facebook post earlier, Shenoy had dared Naik to resign: "I have resigned already, Parameshwara Naik, when will you?"

In her Facebook post, Shenoy also threatened to release a CD that should be viewed only in the midnight if Naik fails to resign.

She had also warned that the CD is not meant for children, as per OneIndia report.

She wrote: “CD beku?... Audio beku?... ” (Do you want a CD or a audio tape?) using hashtags #ParameshiPremaPrasangaBhaga1 and #WashingPowderNirmaPart2.

She also took a dig at former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and described the Siddaramaiah government as `Rum Rajya`.

Shenoy's resignation has snowballed into a major political controversy with the main opposition BJP led by state president BS Yeddyurappa accusing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of silently backing some Congress workers who caused 'mental agony' on the officer.
