Bihar CPM MLC Basudeo Singh dies
Veteran CPM leader and third term MLC Basudeo Singh died today after prolonged illness, Legislative Council chairman Awdesh Narayan Singh said.
Patna: Veteran CPM leader and third term MLC Basudeo Singh died today after prolonged illness, Legislative Council chairman Awdesh Narayan Singh said.
Singh (80), who is survived by a son and a daughter, passed away at AIIMS hospital in New Delhi. He was born at Chandpura village of Begusarai in 1932.
The veteran CPM leader was a sitting member of Legislative Council for the third consecutive time. He had served as CPM MLA from Begusarai from 1990-95.
Singh was not keeping good health in recent days. He had earlier fainted in the Legislative Council recently after which he was taken to Delhi`s AIIMS for treatment.
Condoling his death, Chairman Awdesh Narayan Singh described him as a great social worker and a dedicated communist leader.
State CPM Secretary Vijaykant Thakur said the party has lost a sincere and committed communist leader.

The departed leader had associated himself with Communist party since 1946. PTI
