Gaya road rage: Bihar JD(U) MLC's son Rocky Yadav arrested, confesses to killing youth

Patna: The Bihar Police on Tuesday arrested Rocky Yadav, the son of a Janata Dal United MLC Manorma Devi, who is accused in killing of a teenager in the Gaya town in a case of road rage recently.

As per reports, Rocky Yadav was arrested in the wee hours today by the Bihar Police.

Confirming the development to media,  Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police Garima Malik said, ''He has been arrested, we will let you know more details soon."

A foreign made weapon used by him in crime has also been recovered from him, she added. He has also reportedly confessed to killing a class 12 student in a fit of rage when the latter's car overtook his own vehicle on Saturday night.

I assure you that we will soon arrest others who were involved in the crime, the Gaya SSP said.

He did not surrender. Rocky was arrested with a weapon from Bodhgaya (Bihar) area during raids late night, the SSP added.

Rocky Yadav, 30, was absconding after the incident. He was arrested from Bodh Gaya, about 15 km from Gaya.

Yadav is the son of legislative council member Manorma Devi of the ruling Janata Dal (United) (JD-U).

Yadav allegedly shot dead Aditya Sachdeva, a teenager on Saturday night for overtaking his car on the Bodh Gaya-Gaya road.
