Vaishali: In yet another indication of the return of 'Jungle Raj' in Bihar, a young engineer was found dead in the Vaishali district of Bihar on Monday.
Ankit Jha was working as a quality engineer with Reliance Telecom. His body was found with his throat slit in the Vaishali district, nearly 60 kilometers from state capital Patna.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
Ankit's brother had told police that he had left for work on Sunday night.
"He left at night saying his company car was waiting outside. I thought it must be office work. When I tried to call him in the morning, both his phones were off. We then started looking for him but couldn't find him. Then we got a call from the police," he was quoted as saying.
The incident comes after two engineers were shot dead by unidentified two motorcycle-borne assailants in Darbhanga District.
Facing Opposition ire, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday chaired a meeting with senior state officials in Patna to take stock of the law and order situation in the state.
Meanwhile, six persons were detained in connection with the murder of two engineers of a road construction company in Darbhanga district. The state government also suspended a SHO in connection with the engineers' murder and the Special Task Force (STF) launched a probe into the incident.
