Patna: Lalu Prasad Yadav's 26-year-old Tejashwi Yadav took charge as Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar on Monday.

Addressing the media, Tejwashwi said, “We want to see Bihar as a modern state, a developed state.”

Yadav, who has been allotted the PWD ministry, said that his department's focus would on developing infrastructure.


“Roads should reach all villages and tolas...will speed up the construction of roads,” he said, adding, ““First I will take introduction (of bureaucrats) and then we will look at all the ongoing projects...(our) priority is development of Bihar.”


“We will do our work with honesty and those who indulge in corruption will be dealt with strongly,” Yadav stressed.
