Jayalalithaa continues to live in the hearts of people, 68 kg idli resembling 'Amma' made in Chennai

Chennai: Jayalalithaa 'Amma' is no more but the fact that she continues to rule the hearts of her supporters was on display on Tuesday when her fans made a giant idli resembling her face.

The 68 kg idli was made in the form of her face at Chennai's Marina Beach.

The charismatic leader who passed away on December 5 commanded crores of ardent followers who have time and again displayed their affection for Amma.

Her party AIADMK claimed that a total of 597 people have died so far after hearing the news of Amma's demise.

Tamil Nadu government under O Panneerselvam has announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakhs to each of the families of those who have died of grief.

The TN government has also requested the Modi government to grant Bharat Ratna to the departed leader.
