Chennai: The post-mortem of the body of P Ramkumar, who committed suicide in Puzhal prison in Chennai on Sunday, will be conducted on Tuesday.

The Madras High Court had ordered for the post-mortem on Monday.


Ramkumar was taken into custody as the prime suspect in connection with the murder of Infosys employee S Swathi at a railway station.


Hearing a petition filed Ramkumar's father, the court ordered the post-mortem to be conducted on Tuesday in the presence of a forensic expert representing the petitioner.


 


According to police, Ramkumar committed suicide by biting into a live wire on Sunday evening.


Meanwhile, the opposition parties in the state have demanded a probe into the alleged suicide of Ramkumar by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).


Ramkumar's relatives in his native Meenakshipuram village in Tirunelveli district protested on the road demanding a CBI probe.
