New Delhi: An AAP leader has reportedly received an anonymous letter threatening to burn her alive if she entered Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh.
Soni Sori has received three hand written pamphlets which branded her as a Maoist sympathiser.
Meanwhile, she has filed a police complaint in Dantewada.
The AAP leader has accused IG SRP Kalluri of instigating Bastar residents for the threat letters, the online news portal pradesh18.com reported.
The police denied any such links to letters.
Sori often raises issues of police atrocities on tribals in Bastar region.
According to the report, Sori had recently visited the Maoist strongholds of Bijapur and Sukma to expose alleged sexual assaults on tribal women by security forces in the name of search operations.
“Being a public leader it is my duty to expose the cases of atrocities and injustice carried out by either security forces or Maoists,” the report quoted Sori as saying.
