New Delhi: The woman who attacked Delhi CM Kejriwal with ink in Chhatrasal Stadium on Sunday has been identified as Bhavna Arora.
As per news agency ANI, the ink thrower claims to be a Punjab in-charge of the Aam Aadmi Sena.
According to media reports, Aam Aadmi Sena is an organisation formed by former dissident AAP workers who left the party due to Kejriwal's 'dictatorial' ways of working.
Ink was thrown at the Delhi Chief Minister today evening during a public meeting at the Chhatrasal Stadium here.
According to various TV footage, the said woman rushed close to the dais, where Kejriwal was expressing his gratitude to the people of Delhi for making the odd-even formula successful, and threw ink at him.
The woman was immediately apprehended by the police. However, the Chief Minister told the cops to leave her.
"Leave her; she is talking about some scam. Please take that paper from her she is mentioning some CNG scam," he said.
The alleged CNG scam had happened under the previous Congress dispensation and the Kejriwal government had recently set up a Commission of Inquiry to probe it. Citing jurisdictional issues, the Centre had declared the probe as illegal, but an unfazed AAP government decided to continue with it.
The event was organised by the AAP Government to thank the people of Delhi for making the odd-even experiment, which ended on January 15, a 'success'.
