New Delhi: The juvenile sentenced for his involvement in the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case will walk out of a special home on December 22 but won't be "freed".
After walking out of a special home, the convict, who is now 21, will be in the custody of an NGO for a year, NDTV cited sources as saying.
Meanwhile, victim's mother Asha Devi Singh told NDTV that no matter the juvenile will be kept in NGO for one more year, for her he is released.
It will always pain her to see that her daughter has not got justice, said Asha Devi.
She added that public security is government's responsibility and it is sad to know that the juvenile rapist will be walking out of the remand home at around the time when her daughter was brutally raped and murdered.
Last month, the parents of the victim had demanded that the face of juvenile convict, who was the "most brutal" of all the six offenders, should be shown to the world before he is released citing "he is a threat to the society".
The father also stressed that it was important to assess the mindset of the boy before releasing him.

In November, a report had claimed that the Delhi Police was contemplating charging the juvenile under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).
The police had earlier received inputs from intelligence agencies suggesting that the juvenile was in touch with an accused of the Delhi High Court blast at the remand home here and he is suspected to be radicalised, sources said.
