Delhi: Man kills live-in partner, hacks body in parts, dumps in separate locations
Delhi Police on Thursday arrested for allegedly murdering his live-in partner of eight years and then hacking the body into two parts and dumping them in separate places.
New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday arrested for allegedly murdering his live-in partner of eight years and then hacking the body into two parts and dumping them in separate places.
The incident took place in southeast Delhi and police suspect that the man suspected her of being unfaithful to him.
The accused, identified as Balram, was nabbed by the city police from Astha Kunj Park here on a tipoff on Wednesday.
"He admitted that he had been in a live-in relationship with Anarkali, a native of Tamil Nadu, for the last seven-eight years. He suspected her of having an illicit relationship with other men of late," said the officer.
On the intervening night of December 1 and 2, Balram had an altercation with the deceased following which, in a fit of rage, he hit her with a heavy hammer on her head and back.
A police official said, "Balram then cut her body into two parts and threw away a part in a nearby drain and disposed of the other part of the body somewhere else in the area.
