According to reports, Sheila Dikshit, a Congress veteran, will now be probed by the ACB in connection with the case.

Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra had earlier written a letter to the LG asking him to initiate a CBI probe and file an FIR against Dikshit in connection with the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) water tanker scam.

Kejriwal had on Monday demanded registration of a case against Dikshit and for her alleged role in the water tanker scam unearthed in the national capital.

"Now that we have submitted a report on the scam to Prime Minister Narandra Modi and Lt Governor Najeeb jung, the former should ensure that Sheila Dikshit is sent to jail within two months," Kejriwal said while addressing the Delhi Assembly.

Kejriwal had also taken a jibe at Leader of Opposition Vijendra Gupta and said that if the Prime Minister failed to send her to jail, Gupta will resign. In case he does not resign, we will sit on a hunger strike, the Chief Minister said.

The Aam Aadmi Party government had in June 2015 constituted a fact-finding committee to probe the irregularities in hiring some 385 stainless steel water tankers by the Delhi Jal Board in 2012, during Sheila Dikshit's rule.
