New Delhi: At least 12 Delhi-bound trains were running late as the national capital recorded a dense fog on Wednesday morning, the Northern Railway said.
According to Met office, the minimum temperature in the city settled at 9.0 degrees Celsius.
At least 12 trains, including the Grand Trunk (GT) Express and Howrah-Duronto Express, were running late, a statement from the Northern Railway said.
The Met office, however, forecast a clear day ahead. "The sky will be mainly clear. Moderate fog is likely to occur at most places from morning to forenoon," an official from the India Meteorological Department said.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 18 degrees. Humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 97 percent and visibility at 500 metres.
Tuesday's maximum temperature in the national capital was 15.7 degrees, four notches below the season's average, while the minimum settled at 9.0 degrees, a couple of notches above the season's average.
