New Delhi: The Delhi Police has detained one more staff of a doctor working at the city-based Indraprastha Apollo hospital in connection with the kidney racket busted a week ago, a senior police officer said on Friday.

"We have detained a staff member of a doctor of the Apollo hospital and questioning him," Deputy Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Randhawa told IANS.

Police busted the kidney racket on June 2 with the arrest of two hospital employees and three suspected touts.

Police said Shailesh Saxena, 31, and Aditya Singh, 24, both personal secretaries to two Apollo hospital doctors, were held along with suspected touts Aseem Sikdar, 37, Satya Prakash, 30, and Devashish Moulik, 30, on charge of involvement in the kidney trade.


A case was registered against them at the Sarita Vihar police station.

The alleged mastermind T. Rajkumar was arrested from Kolkata along with three donors -- two women from Uttar Pradesh`s Kanpur and a man from West Bengal`s Siliguri.
