Sacked Delhi minister Asim Ahmed Khan alleges conspiracy, says 'I'm a victim of AAP's internal politics'

New Delhi: Former Delhi's food and civil supplies minister Asim Ahmed Khan, who was yesterday publicly sacked by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from his Cabinet over graft charges against him, on Saturday rejected the allegations, saying he is a victim of AAP's internal politics.

Addressing a press conference a day after he was sacked, Khan said that he has asked the party for the audio clip but has not received it yet.

“Now the question arises that if one voice in the CD is of me then the second voice is of whom. While my name was revealed the other person was called 'bicholia (middleman). This bicholia must have had some name,” he said.

“The second voice was of AAP minority wing vice president Shakeel Malik. Why is his name being hid? Why was he addressed as a middleman?” he added.

Calling it a conspiracy against him, Khan further said, “I'm a person with a clean image. Don't know why am I being made scapegoat. I've become a victim of AAP's internal politics.”

“Since I've said that I will make some revelations against the party, I've been receiving threat calls,” he added.

Yesterday, while removing Khan from Delhi Cabinet, Kejriwal had said that a complain was received against him and it was assessed, the government decided to remove him from the post.

The Delhi CM, while maintaining that whosoever indulges in corruption will not be spared, said, “I will not spare even my son if he is found guilty of corruption.”

“He may be a minister, officer or any one, no one found guilty of corruption will be spared”, he added.
