New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a hot and sultry morning today with both the minimum temperature and humidity levels rising sharply.
"The minimum temperature settled at 31.9 degrees Celsius which was four notches above normal for the season. Relative humidity was registered to 74 per cent at 8.30 AM," said a MeT department official.
No rainfall was recorded in the past 24 hours in the national capital, he said.
The day is expected to be partly cloudy with thundershowers or light rain likely to occur in the evening or night, the official said.
Maximum temperature is likely to be 39 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday the maximum temperature settled at 39.9 degrees Celsius while minimum was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius.
