New Delhi: Indeed, it was a proud moment for the 28-year-old Katrl, a Pacific white-sided dolphin, when she gave birth to her first child to become a mother for the first time on April 18, 2016.

It is said that Katrl gave birth after 3 hours of labor in the Abbott Oceanarium with more than 40 members of the animal care and veterinary teams standing by.


 


The calf, weighing about 25 pounds and standing about 3 feet in length, was able to reach the surface just moments after it came into the world.
