Rushing back in lakhs from Neelkanth Mahadev, a 21-km climb above Rishikesh, or Gomukh, the icy source of the Ganga in the Himalayas, these devotees have currently congregated in 37 camps all over New Delhi. Their vessels filled with Gangajal, they are headed home to villages and towns in Haryana, Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh, in time for Shiv Chaudas on Thursday.
