New Delhi: It seems even doctors are in a race to achieve their targets. After the medical negligence case in Chhattisgarh in 2014, where at least thirteen women died due to botched up sterilisation procedure at a state-run camp in Bilaspur district, another case has been reported in Indore.

According to a TOI report, ignoring the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), a doctor from Indore conducted 196 sterilization operations in one day on December 12 to see that his targets are fulfilled in Punasa block of Khandwa district.

Dr D C Mahadik, a government doctor who performed surgeries in Punasa was quoted as saying that one cannot question the capability of doctors working 24/7 for patients.
