Do you remove your shoes upon entering your home or someone's house? If not, start doing it. Not just you, but encourage family, friends and even guests to remove shoes upon arrival.
While many people practice the habbit of removing shoes in the house for hygiene purposes, others take great offense being asked to take off shoes.
A research conducted by the University of Arizona revealed a shocking truth. It found that 96 percent of shoe bottoms pick up approximately 421,000 different strains of bacteria, including Escherichia coli, also known as E coli, which can give you intestinal infections, diarrhea and in rare cases, meningitis; Klebsiella pneumoniae, which can cause urinary tract infections; and Serratia ficaria, which can cause respiratory infections.
