Lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, obesity, chronic liver disease or cirrhosis, chronic renal failuire, depression are on the rise, particularly among young people across the world, including India, resulting in an increase in incidents of deaths in the country.
Earlier, research revealed that with increasing prevalence of life-style diseases in the country, one out of four Indians is at risk of dying from diabetes, cardio-vascular ailments or cancer before the age of 70.
