New Delhi: The radicalised Indian Muslims are getting more inclined towards dreaded terrorist outfit Islamic State and deserting Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, a report said on Wednesday.
Last year, the IS militant organisation mocked the capabilities of al Qaeda and LeT by questioning their support to militancy in the Kashmir Valley which it said is being controlled by the 'apostate' Pakistani Army.
The Times of India report quoted Intelligence agencies as saying that radicalised Indian Muslim youths are getting more attracted towards the ISIS rather than Indian Mujahideen, LeT or JeM.
Speaking on anonymity, an Intelligence official told ToI that many of the IS-inspired youth arrested in India were earlier associated with Pakistan-based or home-grown terror outfits.
Not only in India, but even youth from country's neighbourhood are also fascinated with IS rather than other terror groups.
Recently, a report claimed that Indian contacts of the Islamic State terror group have been asked to lie low by their bosses in Syria.
According to ToI, senior ISIS handlers have asked their Indian contacts to suspend their activities for some time as the National Investigation Agency has stepped up its crackdown against people suspected to be having links with the terror group.
The ISIS top brass thinks that South Asian Muslims, including Indians, are inferior to Arab fighters in the conflict zone of Iraq and Syria.
