New Delhi: Delhi University textbook titled ' India's Struggle for Freedom', which refers freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh as a terrorist has evoked a sharp response from all quarters.
According to reports, Bhagat Singh's compatriots Chandra Shekhar Azad, Surya Sena and many others who fought and died for India's freedom have also been labelled as 'revolutionary terrorists' in the DU textbook.
The Chittagong movement has been referred to as a 'terrorist act' in the book, and the killing of Sanders has been called an 'act of terrorism'.
Many renowned historians and authors have now come forward and urged the authorities to rectify the mistake.
This book has been in circulation for almost two and a half decades now.
