Delhi: The Sri Ram Sene has declared a nationwide campaign against AIMIM and its leader Asaduddin Owaisi, as per a media report.
The group are apparently miffed at AIMIM for their 'anti-national' stand.
"We condemn the attitude of Owaisi and his followers. His remark against Bharat Mata Ki Jai is not tolerable. Owaisi should be suspended from the Parliament. His remarks are against the integrity of the nation," Sri Ram Sene founder Pramod Muthalik was quoted as saying by India Today in Raichur in central Karnataka.
The report said that the organisation held demonstrations to protest against AIMIM leaders and its activists will hold similar campaigns against Owaisi in important cities in the coming days.
"If Owaisi doesn't want to raise slogans in favour of India let him leave this country and go wherever he wishes to," added Muthalik.
Owaisi, while addressing a public rally in Udgir tehsil of Latur district in Maharashtra on March 13, had said he would not chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
"I don't chant that slogan. What are you going to do, Bhagwat sahab," the Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad had said, referring to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's remark that the new generation needed to be taught to hail "Mother India".
