Darbhanga: Campaigning for the fifth phase of the Bihar assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said here that the 'jugalbandi' (alliance) of RJD and Janata Dal (U) is keen to destroy what is left of Bihar but the BJP will not allow that to happen, urging voters to press the lotus button on the voting day to put his party of the driver's seat.
“When we came to the poll battlefield we have come with development as the agenda, but Lalu ji and Nitish ji tried to give it a communal colour.
“They tried to raise the reservation issue, though everyone knew very well that it was a figment of their imagination, and they did it to mislead the people of Bihar. They did not succeed as we have burst their imaginary balloon,” he said.
“We have exposed their lies and the public will give a befitting reply on the voting day,” Modi said.

“Lalu ji had ruled Bihar for 25 years, not a short period, a child becomes capable enough to feed his family in 25 years. What did you give to Bihar? He asked.
“We've been contesting election on the agenda of development from day 1, Cong-RJD-JDU should've done the same but they are still living in the 1990s,” said Modi.
Bihar needs better education, better health care, better infrastructure and livelihood which BJP will provide, Modi said as he sought to give a final puush to the campaign.
It will take a lot of effort to pull Bihar out of the deep gorge which it currently is and it will two engines, one in Patna and one in Delhi, to propell Bihar's growth, he said.
“I thank the people of Bihar for their warmth, the way they welcomed me and my party members every time,” the PM said.
