New Delhi: A day after BJP sought a public apology from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his allegations against senior leader Arun Jaitley in connection with his alleged involvement in Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) scam, the Aam Aadmi Party convener on Monday categorically refused to express regrets.
The AAP leader today took to twitter to take a dig at BJP over DDCA row and defamation case, "BJP almost begging me for an apology, won't oblige them. Let @arunjaitley be cross-examined in defamation cases."
"No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility."
Noting that there was no mention of Jaitley in the report of Delhi government's inquiry panel into DDCA case, Kejriwal further tweeted, "It didn't mention ANYONE's name n recommended Enquiry Commission to fix responsibility, which we have done now."
A three-member panel was set up by Delhi government to probe irregularities in DDCA. The panel in its report did not name Jailtey which triggered war of words between BJP and AAP, with the former demanding a public apology from Kejriwal.
