New Delhi: In a unfortunate incident, all the 10 people on board a small Ranchi-bound BSF plane carrying technical personnel were killed when it crashed near Dwarka in Delhi on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft burst into flames just outside the IGI airport shortly after take-off.
Here is the sequence of events that led to the fatal air crash:-
1)- The twin-engine Superking plane took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport for Jharkhand's capital i.e. Ranchi at 9:37 AM from runway 28.
2)- Soon after takeoff, the plane developed a technical snag.
3)- The accident happened at around 9:50 AM when it crashed into the airport boundary wall near a railway track and landed in a sewage treatment plant while returning back apparently due to a technical problem.
4)- The aircraft lost contact with the Air Traffic Control at 9:50 AM
5)- The aircraft burst into flames outside the IGI airport
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in the crash.
"Pained by the loss of lives in the BSF plane crash in Delhi. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased," he wrote on Twitter.

An inquiry has been ordered by the Civil Aviation Ministry.
