Earlier, on Thursday, BJP's Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy had demanded a decision on the vexed issue of the Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh and urged the government to make a statement on the day-to-day hearing of the case in the Supreme Court.

He said that both the Prime Minister and the chief justice of India have spoken on the backlog of cases in the apex court.
