Addressing 'Vishal Hindu Sammelan' in the city, she said people of the country should eradicate differences of caste, creed and regionalism and unite as Indians to fight the anti-national elements.

"You are like crabs in a basket, whenever one of them tries to climb out, the others drag it down," she said, calling for unity.

Women in the country should get rid of practices like female infanticide, she said, adding that even today the women are not treated on par with the men and this attitude must go.

"One's dharma should be rashtra-Dharma first and last," she said.
