Did Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party submit wrong details of donations to Election Commission?

Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party is in the middle of a fresh controversy.

As per TIMES NOW news channel, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is apparently in a major tax trouble.

According to documents accessed by the channel, the Income Tax Department has found that the records that were submitted to the Election Commission do not match with the list put up on the party’s website.

These records are pertaining to the funds that the party claimed as donations.

The report further said that the IT department had, as of now, issued three reminders and three summons to AAP regarding the discrepancies in the list of donations.

The first notice was supposedly sent on June 1st, 2016, regarding the donations in the year 2013 to 2014.

Following is the text of the notice as quoted by the news channel - “the donation entries in the AAP website don't match the Election Commission records, please furnish documentary evidences to explain the issue.”

The second notice came on the 6th of June, 2016 and the third one on June 16, 2016.

As per the report, AAP chose to ignore all the three reminders.

Moreover, the party deleted the information from its website with a message stating that it was 'under construction'.
