Hyderabad: Dr BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) has invited applications for admission to 2-year distance Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and 2.5-year B.Ed Special Education (SE) for the academic year 2016-2017.
The university has published the last day for filling up application, which is January 30, 2016.
The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on February 14, 2016.

Candidates have to register at www.braouonline.in only and pay the fee of Rs. 400 by Debit/Credit card through university portal or pay an amount of Rs. 435 at any TS /AP Online Franchise Centre and obtain the receipt.

Educational qualification:
B.Ed: The candidates applying for this course should have passed with at least 50 percent of marks either B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc.(Home Science)/BBM and/or the Masters Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Sciences at the time of submitting the application for B.Ed. Entrance Test.
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55 percent marks in B.E/B.Tech. with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into the programme. However the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40 percent marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates appearing for final year examination in the Qualifying Examination (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) can also apply. But they will be required to submit the marks memo and pass certificate at the time of Admission Counselling.
B.Ed (SE): Candidates applying for this course should be passed with at least 50 percent marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce are eligible. However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40 percent marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates appearing for Qualifying Examination (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) can also apply. But they will be required to submit the proof of having passed the Qualifying Examination at the time admission.
The reservation for SC/ST/BC/PH categories shall be as per the rules in force.
Age limit:
Candidate should have completed 21 years as on 1st July 2015. There is no upper age limit.
Selection process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of test conducted by the university.
