New Delhi: British royals Prince William and Kate Middleton marked the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II at a reception hosted by the British High Commission here on Monday.

Prior to the ceremony, the couple attended a gala dinner hosted by British Deputy High Comission which was attended by several celebrities and other known personalities.


Addressing an event here, Prince William said, "We have been extremely impressed to see just how much this great country (India) is on the move."


"India's dynamism is matched by the warmth and welcome of its diverse people," he added.


Earlier in the day, the royal couple interacted with representatives and children of three NGOs based in Mumbai -- Magic Bus, Door Step School, and India`s Childline. Prince William and Kate later took an open-top bus tour of Mumbai with children and visited the Banganga water tank and met representatives from `Smile` and other organisations working in an economically deprived urban area.​


On Sunday, the Royal couple arrived in Mumbai on their first visit to India and paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
