New Delhi: French President Francois Hollande arrived in New Delhi on Sunday evening from Chandigarh.
On Day 2 of his three-day visit to India, Hollande and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral dialogue following which a number of agreements are scheduled to be signed.
The two leaders will inaugurate the Interim Secretariat of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and lay the foundation-stone of the ISA headquarters near New Delhi.
The ISA is aimed at increasing utilisation and promotion of solar energy in solar-rich nations. The event will be held at the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in Gurgaon.
On Tuesday, Hollande will attend the Republic Day parade on Rajpath as chief guest, becoming the fifth serving French president to do so.
