New Delhi: Here's some good news for Delhi residents!
In a major boost to Delhi's infrastructure, the Urban Development Ministry has approved an assistance of Rs 658 crore for five major projects in the national capital.
Noteworthy, the projects are aimed at unclogging the key stretches of the national capital.
Here are details of those five big projects:-
1- A flyover and underpass connecting Mahipalpur, Aerocity , IGI Airport and NH-8.
The flyover and underpass project will decongest Mahipalpur crossing. It will cost Rs 188 crore.
2- A skywalk and foot over bridge near ITO.
It's for safety of pedestrians and will help about 25 major offices located around ITO. It will cost Rs 54.34 crore.
3- A flyover-cum-rail over bridge near Narela. It will provide direct access from National Highway 1 (NH1) to the Bawana Industrial Complex.
The project will cost Rs 437.21 crore. The project aims at easing chaos and provide direct access to the Bawana Road Industrial Complex from NH 1.
4- Widening of the road near Kashmiri Gate ISBT and Nigambodh Ghat.
This project requires around Rs 18.68 crore.
5- Also, Centre has sanctioned Rs 85 crore for completion of the stalled grade separator at Rani Jhansi Road. The project had started in 2006.
According to Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu, "With the central assistance, the 1.6-km Rani Jhansi Road grade separator can be completed in a year."
These projects were identified jointly by Urban Developmen Ministry and different government agencies in the national capital.
