New Delhi: After an all-party meeting held to discuss issues related to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Monday assured that all the issues raised by the states on the common medical entrance test would be looked into.

"We are all in favour of NEET but regional language issue, syllabus issue and ongoing state exams are three things to be taken care of. After the consultations, we will reach a decision," Nadda told reporters here.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley earlier today called for an all-party meeting to discuss issues related to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Jaitley had earlier said the government is holding talks with the states on the Supreme Court's order on a common medical entrance test.

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda had also chaired a meeting of State Health Ministers today on the issue of common medical entrance test in New Delhi.

The meeting was convened after several parliamentarians opposed the common medical entrance test, saying the NEET has created confusion among the students who have already applied for state entrance exams.
