Bengaluru: Bride's family was left humiliated and insulted after the groom and his family members walked out of the wedding over 'badly' cooked rasam and sambar for the guests.
According to a report in the Times of India, the incident took place in Kollapuradamma hall, Kunigal, Tumakuru district of Karnataka during the reception on the eve of the marriage ceremony.
Groom's parents had a quarrel with the bride's father over the poor quality of sambar and rasam at the function. The 27-year-old groom, who was busy with the marriage rituals, stood up and walked out of the marriage venue alongwith his parents.
The bride's parents were still in shock and worried about the future of their daughter when a youth, a distant relative from the girl's side volunteered for the marriage.
