Singapore: Prime Minister Narenndra Modi, who arrived here on Monday, met his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong and also addressed the 37th Singapore Lecture before proceeding for his dinner at a restaurant in “Little India”.

The dinner was hosted by the Singaporean PM and his wife at Komala Vilas restaurant in Singapore's 'Little India'. The restaurant is located in Serangoon.


Gomathi, owner of Komala Vilas, said she is delighted to welcome the VVIPs to her restaurant. She said they had conversations and enjoyed their food.


Earlier, addressing the 37th Singapore Lecture at the Shangri-La-Hotel in Singapore, PM Modi said both nations have been together at many crossroads of time and Singapore's success is an inspiration to all Indians.


“Singapore is a nation that has become a metaphor for the reality of dreams, it teaches us many things,” he said.


“For me, Lee Kuan Yew was a personal inspiration. From his Singapore stories, I drew many lessons,” PM Modi said.
