Bulandshahr: Another horrific incident of rape has been reported from Uttar Pradesh.
In a shocking incident, a gang of a dozen robbers gangraped a Noida woman and her minor daughter for close to three hours near Bulandshahr on Friday night.
The shameful incident took place, when the rape survivors - 35-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter - were headed for Shahjahanpur from Noida and driving down the Delhi-Kanpur National Highway 91 with four of their family, according to a report in TOI.
The family began the journey from their Noida Sector 68 home after midnight.
They were going to attend the mourning ritual i.e. terahnvi (rituals held 13 days after a death) of a relative.
Near Dostpur village, their car was hit with a blunt object. As it stopped, the group of five men allegedly dragged the family to a nearby field and looted their cash, jewellery and mobile phones.
Reportedly, the robbers then allegedly tied the men of the family with ropes and raped the woman and her daughter.
On Saturday morning, the victims managed to reach the nearest police station and lodge an FIR.
A manhunt has been launched by UP Police to nab the culprits.
