New Delhi: The Trilokpuri area of the national capital is tense. And, the reason behind the communal tension is row over change of Rs 500.
The tension started with monetary dispute on Saturday evening but some miscreants started pelting stones and tried to give a communal colour to the heated situation, according to a report in TOI.
What happened actually?
The incident took place in Block 32 of Trilokpuri area; it had witnessed violence two years ago as well.
Two groups of gamblers got into an argument over change of Rs 500 in the afternoon. The scuffle was stopped after intervention by a senior citizen.
But, in the evening, a group thrashed the man who had gone to ask for change while he was buying vegetables in the market.
Miscreants hurled abused with religious overtones
Soon after this, two groups formed and they began hurling abuses at each other with religious overtones.
Six people were injured in clash.
The situation has been controlled by the police through the Aman Committee formed after the riots that erupted in the area in October 2014.
Paramilitary forces have been deployed in the area.
This clash reminded local residents of the 2014 Trilokpuri riots.
