New Delhi: India is working on a high-tech plan to put completely stop infiltration from Pakistan into India.

As per a report in The Times of India, the Centre has cleared a proposal to put in place a five-layered system to “lock” India's 2900-km western border to prevent entry of terrorists and smuggling.


Named the 'Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System' (CIBMS), the new system will provide 24x7x365 surveillance of the border through technology.CIBMS), the new system will provide 24x7x365 surveillance of the border through technology.


The system will monitor all movements from the other side using an integrated system that will include CCTV cameras, thermal image and night-vision devices, surveillance radar, underground monitoring sensors and laser barriers.


When installed the system will give out warnings in case of a transgression.


The laser barriers will be key component of the system as it will help the security forces secure the 130 unfenced sections including riverine and mountain terrain, often used by infiltrators.
