New Delhi: Known for criticising the pseudo ideology prevalent in Indian political system, noted Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen on Sunday said that the definitions of communism, secularism and liberalism have been misconstrued in India.

Nasreen took to Twitter and said, “In India capitalists are called communists, religious are called secular, intolerant are called liberal.”

“Liberal are those who respect opposite views. The word 'liberal' has been hijacked by non-liberal people who can't stand opposite views,” she further wrote.

Earlier in an interview to an English daily, Taslima had said that said that most secular people in India are anti-Hindu.

She had also questioned the double standards of writers protesting against 'growing intolerance' in India.
