New Delhi/Hyderabad: The alleged Indian recruiter for ISIS, Afsha Jabeen alias 'Nicky Joseph', has reportedly confessed to having tried to lure Indian Muslim youth to work for the Islamic State.
As per a report in The Times of India, Jabeen has revealed details of the sinister plot to trap Indian Muslims through Social Media.
Jabeen, who hails from Tolichowki area of Hyderabad and lived in Dubai, had been portraying herself as a British national while luring youth for ISIS through social media. She was deported by the UAE after which she was arrested by the Cyberabad police yesterday.

In her confession, Jabeen said that she along with Salman Mohiuddin created multiple Facebook groups to propagate Islamic State ideology.
Mohiuddin, also from Hyderabad, was arrested in January this year at the airport when he was preparing to board a flight to Dubai on way to Syria via Turkey.

After that arrest, Afsha came under the lens of Indian security agencies as Salman had allegedly confessed during questioning to have opened several Facebook accounts along with one 'Nicky Joseph' of British national living in Dubai.
He had said that she had influenced and invited him to join her in Dubai in order to go to Syria.

Jabeen has reportedly told investigators that she created a Facebook group "Islam Vs Christianity Friendly Discussion" to propagate Islam. And to manage the account, she assumed the pseudonym 'Nicky Joseph'.
She claims that the group had over 50,000 followers before it was blocked for posting IS related content. Jabeen immediately started a new group, the TOI report said.
Jabeen who is married to Devendra Kumar Batra alias Mohammed Mustafa, a Dubai-based realtor, added that she was a fan of Islamic scholars Zakir Nayak and Bilal Philips.

During interrogation, she professed her strong support for the Islamic State. Jabeen said that she used to motivate gullible Indian Muslim youth by sharing IS propaganda video. To ignite passion, she used to say in her group that Indian Muslims are being ruled by non-believers and thus there is urgent need for the support of Indian Mulsims to expand the spread and reach of ISIS caliphate.
Meanwhile, Jabeen was sent to 10 days police custody by a court in Hyderabad today.
