Attari: Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 21 packets of heroin, a shotgun and three rounds of bullets in Attari sector near India-Pakistan border on Tuesday.
While briefing the media, BSF IG Anil Paliwal said the ammunition was recovered following an encounter with smugglers, who were trying to infiltrate into India from across the border.
When the security officials tried to stop the smugglers, they opened fire, following which the security officials retaliated.
No casualty was reported from both the sides.
The BSF said the recovered cartridges bore the mark of 'Made in Pakistan'.
