West Bengal: Continuing his tirade against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Siddharth Nath Singh on Monday said that the year of 2016 is time for 'Bhaag Mamata Bhaag'.
"The Bharatiya Janata Party will definitely raise its voice if injustice is being done with the people of Bengal. 2016 has arrived, it's time for 'Bhaag Mamata Bhaag'," Singh said.
Singh slammed Mamata and accused her of spreading communal hatred in Bengal. Singh said Mamata Banerjee is taking to communal forces to churn vote bank.
"Mamata Banerjee is doing vote bank politics and the administration here is ignoring that. When injustice is being done to you, even the media keeps quiet. If you raise voice, it will be suppressed," he added.
The BJP has been targeting the Mamata Banerjee Government over the Malda violence saying the government is working in promoting vote bank politics and because of her appeasement politics, the national security is being compromised.
