Media house attacked over derogatory cartoon in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Irked over a 'derogatory' cartoon and article, a group of Muslim youths vandalised the office of a leading Marathi daily on Sunday. 

According to a report in the Deccan Herald, the office of Lokmat newspaper was vandalised and copies were burnt after the article and graphics -  ‘ISIS cha Paisa’ (ISIS’s money), in Sunday supplement Manthan of the newspaper. 

The editor of the newspaper offered an apology for the mistake and assured to take appropriate action against people guilty.

Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up in the area and police have appealed people to maintain calm.
